Object window

When an editor calls up the onion.net editor, the object window first displays a start page that shows three pieces of information:

  • The version of the editor

  • The name of the logged-on user and

  • The number of documents checked in by this user. A click on "Checked-in documents" calls up the onion.net research window that lists all checked-in documents. More information on the research window can be found in Research window.

If an object is clicked in the structure area, the appearance of the object window changes. The object can then be edited or different aspects of the object can be viewed. The contents and functions of the object window differ depending on either of the three modes. They will be explained in the following paragraphs.

The object window can also be opened individually in an open window. To do this, online editors must hold the shift key when they click on the corresponding object in the structure area.
