User profiles

User profiles are optional pieces of information organised in profile tabs. The information architect defines whether there are any tabs, how many tabs exist, which scheme they follow and what kind of information they contain. Profiles are often filled automatically. User administrators also have the right to activate and edit them manually.

If a new user is created, all of his profiles are first disabled and not filled. The label of the profile tab is grey and in italics. With a click of the right mouse button, user administrators can activate the profile and fill it. An enabled profile can be disabled in the same way. Profiles are edited like contents of the object tab "Contents" in the content administration (see Chapter 5.1.1.1) - they are also based on a scheme out of which a progressive form is generated.
