The history of a data object consists of versions and structural modifications.

Versions represent modifications in the content of the data object. Structural modifications are records relating to modifications to the data object. Such modifications can be renamings or moves as well as informal modifications such as the publication of changes in a ChangeSet or the deletion or restoring of the data object.
