User profiles are based on data objects. These data objects are also defined in the schema management and have to be a child schema of a certain schema. However, the user profiles are not stored in the data repository of onion.net, but are given their own data container for each user. In the same way that data objects in the data repository are located under a root data object, the user profiles are each located under their own user container as a root data object. User profiles can only be seen by their own user or user managers.
